Solar Technician I

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Solar Technician I to join our team at EDP Energias de Portugal S.A. as part of our renewable energy operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for the on-site maintenance, repair, and replacement of equipment at one of our operating solar generation sites.

• Equipment Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on solar equipment, including mechanical and electrical components, to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
• Inspections and Compliance: Conduct regular inspections of equipment, tools, and facilities to ensure compliance with company policies, safety guidelines, and environmental regulations.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Safety and Quality: Maintain a strong focus on safety and quality, adhering to all relevant protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Communication and Collaboration: Work effectively with cross-functional teams, including remote operations control centers, to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: 1-2 years of relevant experience in PV solar or a related industry.
• Skills: Familiarity with maintenance and electronic testing equipment, ability to operate a motor vehicle, and strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Physical Demands: Ability to frequently perform physical tasks, including standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.
• Environmental Conditions: Ability to work in adverse weather conditions up to 25% of the time.
