Maintenance Repair Technician

The Maintenance Repair Technician is a critical role within Bluefors, responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our equipment. This position requires a high degree of technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect, monitor, repair, and maintain complex company equipment, including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Maintain and calibrate various equipment, including CNCs, vacuum pumps, oil systems, BTA oil separators, water heaters, and buffing booths.
  • Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential problems and prevent downtime.
  • Perform work with a sense of urgency to respond to machine downtime events.
  • Review manufacturers' service manuals, own establishment's usage schedules, and records of maintenance problems to develop and maintain a preventative maintenance schedule for each machine.
  • Maintain all records relating to planned and completed maintenance.
  • Work with production managers to determine when planned maintenance will least interfere with production.
  • Clean machine, tooling, and parts, and perform machine maintenance as required.
  • Able to troubleshoot machine issues.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 3 years of machine maintenance experience required. 5+ years of machine maintenance experience is preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Familiarity with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) highly preferred.
