Job Summary

The Certified Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary dysfunction. This will involve performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, administering medical gases, and operating and maintaining various types of respiratory and cardiopulmonary equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and treat patients with cardiopulmonary dysfunction
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as ordered by physicians
  • Administer medical gases and aerosol therapy
  • Operate and maintain respiratory and cardiopulmonary equipment
  • Provide patient education and monitoring
  • Complete documentation of patient records and departmental records
Requirements
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current Respiratory Therapist license from the State Board for Respiratory Care
  • NBRC CRT certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 6 months of employment start date
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date
  • NRP certification within 6 months of hire
