CDL Instructor

Job Title: CDL Instructor - Professional Driving Trainer

Job Summary:
Waste Pro USA, Inc. is seeking a qualified CDL Instructor to join our team in Sanford, Florida. As a CDL Instructor, you will be responsible for preparing students to obtain a Class B CDL while delivering classroom lessons that promote students' theoretical and applied driving skills.

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide instruction on the parts and functions of a vehicle, and how to perform pre-& post-trip inspections
* Ensure students understand all DOT requirements and on-road regulations
* Teach practical skills related to all aspects of professional driving
* Help students develop confidence in their driving skills
* Maintain control of a commercial vehicle during emergency situations
* Calm students who are nervous or stressed
* Schedule Driving Tests in State System
* Conduct CDL Testing per Florida Regulations
* Accurate Documentation and maintenance of training records
* Report all accidents immediately to the Risk Department

Requirements:
* Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License
* Clean driving record
* Proven experience as a commercial driving instructor
* Current Florida 3rd Party Certifier or the knowledge and ability to obtain Florida 3rd Party Certifier status within 30 days of hire
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Patience and enthusiasm
* Ability to remain calm under pressure

Work Environment:
Normal setting for this job is carried out in a training facility, office and field
