Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced MedSurg RN for a travel contract at St Michael Medical Center. The ideal candidate will have 2 full years of experience and hold an active BLS and WA License.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care in a MedSurg Ortho 2nd Floor setting
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
  • Monitor and manage patient conditions, including orthopedic patients with hips, knees, shoulders, spine, and fractures
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Document patient progress and communicate with the healthcare team
Requirements
  • 2 full years of experience as a MedSurg RN
  • Active BLS and WA License
  • Ability to read basic strips
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
Work Environment
  • MedSurg Ortho 2nd Floor unit at St Michael Medical Center
  • 34-bed unit with a 1:4 to 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
  • Orthopedic patients with hips, knees, shoulders, spine, and fractures
  • General Medical/Surgical patients with pneumonia, heart failure, sepsis, chest pain, GI bleed, diabetes, electrolyte imbalances, kidney failure, and UTI
Additional Information
  • Orientation/Education Hours: 25+ hours
  • BLS; Medical Solutions auto deducts the 1.75 WA state tax - you are able re-add that back in
  • Region III: Primary to St. Michael Medical Center but if needed, travelers will be required to float throughout Region Three: St Anthony Hospital – Gig Harbor, WA; St. Michael Medical Center – Silverdale, WA
  • Float Rate: $20/hr
