Job Summary

IS3 Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Senior Staff Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will play a critical role in managing the financial aspects of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management: Oversee and manage all aspects of Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) processes for construction projects, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Process Standardization: Collaborate with senior accounting leaders to document and standardize processes for AR, Work-In-Progress (WIP), and AP, as well as Project Cost/Change Order processes.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare, review, and distribute accurate and timely WIP reports, ensuring financial integrity and compliance throughout the duration of construction projects.
  • Client and Vendor Management: Ensure accurate billing and timely collections from clients and vendors, and process and reconcile payments to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial policies.
  • Financial Record Maintenance: Maintain and update financial records, ensuring data integrity and consistency, and collaborate closely with project managers to support project cost analysis and financial forecasting.
  • Dispute Resolution: Communicate with vendors and clients to resolve any billing or payment discrepancies, and assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction accounting, with a focus on AR, AP, WIP reporting, and Project P&L reporting.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards, proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with project managers, vendors, and clients, and a high level of accuracy in financial reporting.
