Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Shift Leader to join our team at Potbelly Sandwich Shop. As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of associates to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and Develop Associates: Manage and develop a team of associates to execute outstanding product quality and customer service.
  • Drive Sales Growth: Build sales and control costs for each shift.
  • Operate Cash Register: Handle, balance, and follow all cash handling procedures.
  • Ensure Quality and Safety: Comply with health and safety standards for food, cleanliness, and safety.
  • Restock and Clean: Restock food line, chips, and cooler, and clean tables, counters, floors, bathrooms, kitchen, and utensils.
  • Manage Customer Complaints: Effectively handle customer complaints and issues.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: A minimum of 1 year supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail environment.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Enjoy problem-solving and can manage potential allergens.
  • Physical Demands: Able to stand/walk for 8-9 hours or as needed, and lift up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
