We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team in the Outpatient Pediatrics department at Carilion Clinic. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history, and current medications
- Prepare patients for provider evaluations, including obtaining specimens and positioning for exams
- Administer medications and injections as directed by the provider
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including exam and treatment rooms
- Document patient information in the electronic medical record
- Provide patient education and support, including lab results, medication instructions, and follow-up care
- Assist with referral authorizations and lab procedures
- Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing
- Current licensure as a Practical Nurse in the State of Virginia (LPN)
- One year of experience in a physician office or similar setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
