At University of Maryland Medical System, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Staff Office Director to lead our Medical Staff Services Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing leadership, management, and operational oversight of the department, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the credentialing database system and related applications.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage the Medical Staff Services Department, including credentialing and privileging processes, medical staff quality review processes, and compliance with medical staff bylaws and policies.
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of relevant accreditation and certification requirements, ensuring compliance with statues and laws relating to credentialing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, plan, and implement programs and processes related to assigned subject matter and area of functional responsibility.
- Supervise and develop staff, ensuring effective communication, leadership, and management skills.
- Manage and maintain the credentialing database system, ensuring accuracy and integrity of data.
- Bachelor's degree and at least five years' directly related experience at a managerial level.
- NAMMS certification as a Certified Professional Medical Services Manager (CPMSM) or Certified Provider Credentials Specialist (CPCS).
