About the Role

Abbott Laboratories, a global healthcare leader, is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join its Heart Failure Division. As a key member of the finance team, you will play a critical role in supporting the division's financial planning and analysis activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and analyze financial budgets, forecasts, and variance reports for the Heart Failure R&D and Medical Affairs functions.
  • Develop and maintain financial models, including budgeting and forecasting tools, to support business decision-making.
  • Participate in the monthly closing process, including the preparation of journal entries and conducting research across multiple financial systems.
  • Provide analytical insights and recommendations to senior management on financial performance and trends.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement financial strategies and initiatives.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements, company policies, and operating procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of finance experience with progressively more responsibility.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of balance sheet transactions and their impacts on the income statement.
  • Ability to prioritize deliverables for timely submissions and reviews.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with effective executive presence.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications, such as CPA or CMA.
  • Experience with financial software, including SAP, Hyperion, or other similar tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to understand business drivers.
  • Ability to work independently and with senior management.
