Your Role at Elmington: As a Property Maintenance Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the property remains in excellent condition by addressing service requests and executing repairs efficiently. A solid foundation in plumbing, general carpentry, and appliance maintenance is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify issues and repair major appliances, HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical (where licensing is not mandated), general carpentry, pool maintenance, and roof and gutter repairs.
- Manage landscaping concerns and snow/ice removal tasks.
- Effectively communicate with residents and colleagues, even in challenging situations.
- Deliver outstanding customer service.
- Complete service requests accurately and in a timely manner.
- Utilize computers and other technology to access email and company software.
- Adhere to Elmington's standards regarding service work orders and vacant unit turnovers.
Essential Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience in property maintenance or a related field.
- HVAC certification is preferred.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to maintain the physical integrity of the property.
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools.
- Experience in building maintenance and repairs.
- Willingness to respond to issues outside of regular working hours when necessary.
- Accurate time reporting by clocking in and out appropriately.
- Compliance with all company policies and procedures.
