Job Summary:

BJC Healthcare is seeking an experienced MRI Charge Technologist to join our team at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures in MRI, prioritizing and problem-solving patient care or imaging issues, and serving as a resource person for staff technologists.

Responsibilities:

• Prepares patients and equipment for procedures
• Performs studies independently, in on-call situations, portable exams, and other sites as required by work area
• Oversees shift operations, including daily workflow, assignments, lunch schedules, and adjusts priorities and assignments to best meet department needs
• Enters/escalates IT and equipment tickets
• Serves as the clinical resource and expert for technologists, providing problem-solving assistance, mentoring, and ensuring proper information is communicated from the team and escalated to the supervisor appropriately

Requirements:

• Associate or trade school degree in radiologic technology or related field
• 2-5 years of experience in MRI or related field
• RTR, CT, MR, M, BD, CI, VI, RCIS, or RCES certification
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
