ISG is seeking a highly skilled Rural Surface Water Expert to join our dynamic team in the Water Business Unit. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in designing innovative stormwater systems that protect the environment and ensure the safety and prosperity of rural areas.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil/environmental engineering or bioproducts and bio-systems engineering, with 5-10 years of experience in the surface water industry. They should be proficient in various modeling software, including XPSWMM, PCSWMM, Infoworks ICM, HydroCAD, Hec-RAS, and Hec-HMS.

In this role, you will work closely with Jacob Rischmiller, PE, Water Resources Practice Group Leader, and collaborate with internal resources for design and project coordination. You will lead and/or support the design of stormwater management plans, including stormwater management reports, retention basins, swales, and drainage systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement stormwater management plans
  • Design and oversee the construction of stormwater infrastructure
  • Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analyses
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Perform on-site inspections and monitoring

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in civil/environmental engineering or bioproducts and bio-systems engineering
  • 5-10 years of experience in the surface water industry
  • Ability to travel to various job sites and ISG office locations
  • Strong communication, organization, analytical, and interpersonal skills
