Job Summary:

Hearts & Hands is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and promoting a positive and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including meal delivery and bedpan application
  • Ensure patients' hygiene and comfort needs are met
  • Record and monitor patient vital signs
  • Provide general adjunct care to patients
  • Respond to patient calls and determine the best course of action to assist them
  • Assist patients with activities such as getting out of bed, bathing, dressing, using the toilet, walking, or standing
  • Transfer, turn, or reposition hospitalized patients
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and caregivers to develop treatment plans for patients and monitor their condition
  • Maintain a record of liquid and food intake, as well as urine and feces output, and communicate any abnormalities or changes to medical personnel
  • Examine patients to determine if they have any medical problems
  • Assist patients with complaints or physical symptoms by listening to and observing

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Compassion and empathy for patients and families
