Hearts & Hands is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and promoting a positive and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including meal delivery and bedpan application
- Ensure patients' hygiene and comfort needs are met
- Record and monitor patient vital signs
- Provide general adjunct care to patients
- Respond to patient calls and determine the best course of action to assist them
- Assist patients with activities such as getting out of bed, bathing, dressing, using the toilet, walking, or standing
- Transfer, turn, or reposition hospitalized patients
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and caregivers to develop treatment plans for patients and monitor their condition
- Maintain a record of liquid and food intake, as well as urine and feces output, and communicate any abnormalities or changes to medical personnel
- Examine patients to determine if they have any medical problems
- Assist patients with complaints or physical symptoms by listening to and observing
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Compassion and empathy for patients and families
