Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Travel Nurse RN Behavioral Health to join our team at Binding Minds Inc. This is a 13-week travel nursing job in Richmond, Virginia, with a 36-hour workweek. The ideal candidate will have experience in Adult Behavioral Health, with the ability to administer oral and IM medications, admissions, discharges, 1:1 assessments, and therapeutic communication skills. CPI and CPR certification are also required. The shift breakdown is 3x12 hours, with every other weekend.

Requirements:

2 years of experience in a hospital setting

Adult Behavioral Health experience

Ability to administer oral and IM medications

Admissions, discharges, 1:1 assessments, and therapeutic communication skills

CPI and CPR certification

About the Unit:

The unit has 24 beds, with 12 acute and 12 non-acute beds. The patient ratios are usually 1:7, and the equipment includes EKG machines, copier/fax machines, glucose monitoring, and computers with MediTech EMR. The EMR system is electronic medical record-MediTech, which is a Windows-based system.

MUST HAVE: Adult Behavioral Health experience with the ability to administer oral and IM medications, admissions, discharges, 1:1 assessments, Therapeutic communication skills, CPI, CPR. Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Able to work 3- 12 hours shifts (7a-7p) per week and every other weekend.

PREFERRED OR NICE TO HAVE: MediTech experience, Trauma informed Care & Charge Nurse experience. Candidates with these skills will be considered first.
