About Rocky Mountain Prep
Rocky Mountain Prep is an expanding network of dynamic public charter schools dedicated to serving students and families in the Greater Denver Area. Since its inception in 2012, RMP has grown from a single school with 130 students to twelve schools, currently supporting over 5,000 scholars from PreK through 12th grade across two districts. Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to the regulations of the school and the league.
- Participate in mandatory preseason meetings.
- Engage in post-season coaches' discussions.
- Maintain regular communication with the Athletic Director to discuss team progress.
- Ensure timely communication with the Athletic Director.
- Utilize development opportunities provided by the Athletic Director and Network Athletic Director.
- Organize, schedule, and oversee practice sessions (minimum of 2 times per week).
- Notify the Athletic Director of any changes to practice schedules.
- Supervise assistant coaches and team managers.
- Manage equipment and uniforms for the team.
- Communicate relevant information regarding practice schedules, tryouts, and other program details to players, families, and the school community.
- Maintain appropriate supervision of the program at all times, including during practices, events, and transportation.
- Ensure the team demonstrates the appropriate attitude and conduct consistently.
- Represent the school with professionalism in demeanor and conduct.
- Complete any additional duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Preferred experience and a clear understanding of the sport.
- Strong teamwork and team-building skills.
- Ability to pass a background check.
Preferred:
- Proficiency in Spanish.
- Demonstrated success in working with students from historically marginalized communities.
Compensation:
This position is part-time, salaried, and non-exempt, with a total intended compensation of $4,108, distributed in equal monthly payments throughout the coaching season. Coaches will collaboratively determine compensation distribution prior to the season.
Eligibility:
All hired individuals will be required to verify their identity and eligibility to work in the United States and complete the necessary employment eligibility verification form upon hire. Rocky Mountain Prep does not sponsor visas at this time.
