Key Responsibilities- Safely load, transport, and unload Regal boats, adhering to all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of the truck to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of cargo transported, including bills of lading, delivery receipts, and other relevant paperwork.
- Ensure the safety of cargo, the vehicle, and all personnel during transportation.
- Interact with customers, clients, and stakeholders in a professional and courteous manner.
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements.
- Minimum 2 years experience as a CDL truck driver, transportation of cargo related to the marine industry preferred.
- Knowledge of local and federal transportation regulations and safety standards.
- Good physical condition and the ability to lift, load, and secure cargo.
A significant portion of a truck driver's work is spent on the road, driving to and from destinations. This can involve long hours behind the wheel and extended periods of time away from home.
Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend at the waist and knees and sit for extended periods of time. The employee is frequently required to load and unload cargo, which may involve lifting, securing, and inspecting items.
