In this position, you will:
- Deliver Urology care in a collaborative practice alongside physicians for Urology patients.
- Evaluate, plan, implement, and assess care for individual patients.
- Initiate and document appropriate interventions; evaluate and record patient/family responses in accordance with practice protocols; prescribe medications as per protocol/physician consultation.
- Assist physicians and perform necessary procedures; conduct patient assessments.
- Oversee the administration of IV and oral medications, maintain and monitor vascular access devices, administer chemotherapy/immunotherapy, manage blood transfusions, perform therapeutic phlebotomy, assess patient symptoms, and collaborate on patient treatment plans.
- Evaluate patient/family needs and provide education.
- Encourage wellness and recommend community resources to address patient and family needs.
- Complete patient billing.
- Provide case management for Urology clients and their families.
- Supervise the activities of clinical nursing and support staff.
- Mentor new mid-level providers.
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing education program and successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program from an accredited institution.
- Registered Nurse state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state.
- Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant.
- Experience in Urology preferred.
- Stable -- traditional, stable, strong processes.
Salary up to $180,000/year based on experience, plus bonus.
