Job Overview:
As a Wound Care Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining adequate levels of department supplies related to WCT procedures with SSP. You will have a good working knowledge of sterile fields and techniques, and will assist WOCNs or APPs as needed. You will comply with standards of practice in these areas, and perform tasks such as application and changing of compression wraps, providing assistance to WOCNs for wound vac changes, and troubleshooting any wound vac issues. You will also physically assist WOCNs with patients during assessments, and complete simple wound rechecks. All PCT functions and duties will be performed with a focus on providing exceptional patient care.

Requirements:

Certifications/Licenses/Education:

Basic Life Support:
Health Care Provider certification within six months of hire. A high school education or equivalent (GED) is required, as well as successful completion of PCT classes as required by care center/unit. Previous patient care or nursing assistant experience is desired, as is one to two years related patient care experience and/or training. One to two years education in exercise science, general A&P classes, or the sciences is also desired.
