Mechatronics Technician

NPX ONE is a leading manufacturer of polystyrene and sustainable food trays, trusted by fresh food processors and retailers for exceptional performance since 1965.

We are seeking a skilled Mechatronics Technician to join our team and contribute to delivering the ideal assortment of fresh food tray sizes, colors, strengths, and mediums.

The salary for this position is approximately $65,000 per year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and adjust electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Reads and interprets common engineering drawings, specification documentation, and machinery manuals.
• Perform basic calibration procedures on various pieces of equipment throughout the facility.
• Troubleshoot and correct electronic instrumentation problems with devices such as thermocouples, motor tachometers, temperatures controllers, and pressure transducers.
• Support the production operation by providing immediate response to all breakdowns to minimize equipment downtime.

Requirements:

• Two (2) years of industrial experience in Electrical and Mechanical Environment.
• Education/Work Experience: Two (2) years of industrial experience in Electrical and Mechanical Environment. Satisfactory completion of a trades program or a two-year (2) Associates Degree is preferred.
• Language Ability: Must have excellent communication skills
• Math Ability: Proficient mathematical skills
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to systematically work through problems, can work with deadlines individually or as part of a team
• Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite
• Travel Requirements – Negligible
• Other (including certifications and licenses): Basic understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Human Machine Interface (HMI), and motor drives. Proficient in the use of electrical multi-meters.
