About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our culinary team at Gulph Creek Hotels. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality food in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook food to order, following established recipes and plating guidelines.
  • Roast meats and operate char-broilers to achieve perfect results.
  • Set up and break down the kitchen line efficiently, ensuring a smooth service.
  • Handle and store food safely and hygienically, maintaining a clean and sanitary environment.
  • Recognize and utilize quality standards in fresh ingredients, spices, and garnishes.
  • Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of cooking techniques, including charbroiling, poaching, deep-frying, and more.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent experience in a hotel or related field.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, communicating effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a focus on quality and safety.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ServSafe and Food Handler Certifications.
  • Experience in a hotel or restaurant environment.
