As a critical care specialist, you will play a vital role in providing healthcare services to students in Mesquite ISD. With your expertise and compassion, you will help create a safe and healthy environment for students to thrive.

About the Job

This is a substitute school nurse position that requires you to provide critical care services to medically fragile students as assigned. You will administer medications from physicians' orders, maintain medication records and reports, and communicate with medical, nursing, and district personnel.

You will also manage and provide health room services, including first aid and CPR, according to established procedures. Additionally, you will provide guidance and counseling in the area of health to students, staff, and parents according to professional standards.

Requirements
  • TX Nurse Certification
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification
  • Automated External Defibrillators (AED) Certification
  • State/FBI Criminal History Clearance
  • Medical Screen - Varies by District

Salary

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
