Overview:
Under the guidance of the Assistant Director of Nursing, the RN Supervisor is tasked with delivering nursing oversight and case management for a specific home or caseload, ensuring that all medical and nursing requirements are met.
The RN Supervisor offers clinical leadership and training to LPN staff and engages in a rotating on-call schedule to guarantee 24/7 support for LPN and AMAP personnel within the program. This role embodies and promotes the agency's mission statement in every interaction.

Key duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
The RN Supervisor is accountable for managing all healthcare needs for a designated group of individuals in a specific residence or collection of residences.
This encompasses, but is not limited to, the completion of quarterly and annual assessments, monitoring and fulfilling lab work and appointments, conducting quarterly nursing evaluations, and maintaining communication with healthcare providers.
Conduct medical rounds with the Medical Director, ensuring that all medical directives are executed promptly and that all recommendations and orders are properly documented and fulfilled.
The RN Supervisor provides clinical guidance to LPN staff by offering training and establishing protocols for delegated nursing tasks, ensuring that skills are performed in accordance with established nursing standards and training provided.
The RN Supervisor also delivers clinical supervision to AMAP staff, which includes overseeing certification and re-certification processes, as well as conducting periodic evaluations of delegated nursing tasks. Feedback is shared with the AMAP supervisor for integration into ongoing support meetings and annual performance evaluations.
Ensures compliance with all ICF regulations and actively participates in ongoing surveys conducted by OPWDD.
Qualifications:
Valid NYS Registered Professional Nursing License is required.
CPR certification is mandatory and must be maintained.
A college degree in nursing is preferred.
Experience in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is preferred.
At least one (1) year of supervisory experience is preferred.
