Residency Core Faculty Opportunity

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced physician to join our team as a Residency Core Faculty member for our Emergency Medicine Ultrasound Fellowship program at Riverside Community Hospital in Riverside, California.

About the Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team of healthcare professionals who are dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and education. As a Residency Core Faculty member, you will play a key role in teaching and advising residents and fellows, working closely with the Residency Program Director, and ensuring that the program meets all state, federal, and accrediting agency requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Teach and advise residents and fellows in the Emergency Medicine Ultrasound Fellowship program
  • Work closely with the Residency Program Director to ensure program success
  • Ensure compliance with ACGME and accrediting agency requirements
  • Develop and implement an engaging learning curriculum
  • Oversee and engage with Residency Core Faculty, Clinical faculty, and Program Coordinators
  • Participate in recruitment and selection of new residents
  • Assess resident performance regularly
  • Participate in Clinical Competency Committee and Program Evaluation Committee
  • Remain clinically active
  • Mentor and coach residents
  • Administer and maintain an educational environment conducive to resident learning
  • Ensure safe patient care at all participating sites
  • Participate in Quality improvement and Patient Safety initiatives
  • Model professional behavior and lead the multidisciplinary team
Requirements
  • Physician with current, valid American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) certification or eligibility in relevant field/specialty
  • Active unrestrictive state license to practice medicine
  • Completion of residency through an accredited residency program
  • Experience with leadership/mentorship of residents
  • Scholarly activity within the last five years
  • Clinical and academic experience to ensure effective implementation of ACGME program requirements

Riverside Community Hospital is an academic teaching hospital with an established in-house EM Residency Program affiliated with the University of Riverside. The facility is a Level II Trauma Center with a 50-bed Emergency Department that sees 100,000+ annual ED patient visits and has a 20% admit rate.
