We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Service Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will assist our sensory team with various projects, including descriptive analysis, consumer guidance, and difference panels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare panel references, samples, and equipment for sensory testing
  • Set up and maintain sensory booths, including labeling and organizing samples
  • Assist with panel preparation, including serving samples and preparing ad hoc references
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the lab and sensory areas, adhering to Cargill Food Safety, EHS, and PPE policies
  • Restock panel room, booths, and sensory lab area, and take weekly inventory of supplies
  • Assist with routine food safety maintenance and compliance
  • Document and protect sensitive information, adhering to company policies
  • Manage multiple tasks on a deadline basis and work effectively with a team
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Lab experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to lift weights up to 50 lbs. and perform other physical requirements of the job
Preferred Skills
  • 3-6 months lab experience
  • Kitchen experience is a plus
