About the Position

We are seeking dedicated Customer Service Representatives to join our team in partnership with the American Red Cross. In this role, you will assist individuals affected by natural disasters by providing essential services such as shelter, food, and mental health support. Your role as a lifeline for those in crisis will be crucial in helping them regain normalcy.

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls to assist individuals in immediate need
  • Research information in databases to resolve customer issues
  • Demonstrate empathy and compassion to callers in need

Requirements

  • Legally able to work in the United States
  • Passion for providing outstanding service
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Ability to remain composed under pressure
  • Proficient in using computer applications

Technical Requirements

  • Laptop or Desktop Computer running Windows 10 or higher
  • DSL or Cable internet connection
  • High-speed Internet via a hardwired Ethernet connection
  • USB headset with a mic and mute button

Pay Rate

  • $15.00 per hour
  • $15.50 per hour for bilingual agents
  • Independent Contractor position, paid monthly via direct deposit

Shifts

  • Seasonal agent on the surge team
  • Shifts selected in 1-hour increments
  • Call center operates 24/7

Training Certification

  • Mandatory orientation session
  • Training provided via a virtual atmosphere
  • All training is paid
