About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Department Supervisor to join our team at HomeGoods. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards, ensuring Associates are processing efficiently and effectively, and working as a team to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Experience: Create a positive internal and external customer experience by engaging and interacting with all customers, and maintaining a clean and organized store.
  • Merchandising and Receiving: Orchestrates truck delivery, prioritizing the processing of merchandise onto the sales floor, and ensures merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
  • Associate Development: Trains and mentors Associates on established merchandising and processing principles, and ensures Associates complete tasks and activities according to store plan.
  • Productivity and Efficiency: Monitors productivity of team and coaches as necessary, and ensures compliance with recycling and hazardous waste programs.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Communicates accurately and effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities, and provides progress updates.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, and responds appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: 1 year retail and 6 months of leadership experience.
  • Communication and Organizational Skills: Superior communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Teamwork and Adaptability: Team player, working effectively with peers and supervisors, and able to adapt to changing situations.
  • Physical Demands: Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
