Job Summary:The Registered Nurse - Interventional Radiology will be responsible for providing direct patient care to patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures. This includes pre-procedure assessment, administration of moderate sedation, hemodynamic monitoring during procedures, and post-procedure recovery and teaching. The successful candidate will be a team player who is able to work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:- Provides competent, compassionate nursing care to patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures.
- Assesses patients pre-procedure and develops a plan of care to ensure safe and effective treatment.
- Administers moderate sedation and monitors patients during procedures.
- Provides hemodynamic monitoring and support during procedures.
- Assists with post-procedure recovery and teaching.
- Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Current Massachusetts licensure as a registered nurse.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Experience in critical care, ED, or procedural experience required.
- Good clinical background in pulmonology preferred.
The Registered Nurse - Interventional Radiology will work in a fast-paced, high-acuity patient care environment. The successful candidate will be exposed to some radiation during fluoroscopy procedures and will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed.
