Position Overview

The Warehouse Associate plays a crucial role in the logistics operations of Daikin Comfort Technologies Dist Inc. This position involves various responsibilities aimed at ensuring efficient warehouse management and product handling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Forklift Operation: Safely and effectively operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery to load, unload, and transfer materials and products, ensuring no damage occurs.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure all items are received according to established procedures and accurately stocked in designated locations.
  • Cycle Counts: Maintain inventory levels and prepare for cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
  • Will Calls: Complete will calls as required.
  • Documentation: Responsible for the timely and precise completion of paperwork and transaction entries.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols by wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintaining a professional uniform during shifts.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse and on the forklift by following good housekeeping practices and conducting pre and post-shift inspections.
  • Customer Assistance: Provide assistance to customers and customer service representatives as needed.
  • Standard Procedures: Follow established operating procedures, work processes, and company policies diligently.
  • Additional Tasks: Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Skills

  • Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Attention to Detail: A high level of attention to detail and awareness of surroundings.
  • Computer Proficiency: Basic computer skills, including data entry for processing transactions and generating reports.
  • Product Handling: Ability to efficiently process product loading and unloading.
  • Forklift Operation: Capability to operate a forklift safely and thrive in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Certification: Must be eligible for in-house forklift certification within 30 days.
  • Team Collaboration: Dependability and the ability to work well in a team setting, fostering positive relationships with colleagues and customers.
  • Work Environment: Willingness to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse setting.
