Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building, presses, and equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Operate forklifts and man lifts to transport materials and equipment as needed.
- Collaborate with the assembly and press departments to achieve team goals and objectives.
- Participate in press set-ups, teamwork, and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce set-up time and improve overall productivity.
- Adhere to all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tag out and electrical safe work practices, to ensure a safe working environment.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks, corrective actions, and improvements to assigned equipment to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
- Follow all maintenance systems and proper documentation procedures as outlined in work instructions, including preventive maintenance procedures, downtime recording procedures, and work order procedures.
- Assist in the capacity of wastewater handler, as required, and complete training as necessary.
- Perform other duties as required by the Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Launch Reliability Manager, and Maintenance Supervisor.
- May receive direction from General Production Supervisor, Production Supervisors, and Team Leaders.
- Adapt and promote lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Participate in the Elimination of Waste Team meetings to identify and address areas for improvement.
- Knowledge of stamping presses, conveyors, CNCs, washers, assembly machines, various automation, and related machinery.
- Knowledge of pneumatics, lubrication, and hydraulics circuits.
- Knowledge of basic electrical circuits and diagrams.
- Knowledge of mig and or arc welding and use of cutting torches.
- Ability to read and interpret hydraulic, pneumatic, and lubrication schematics.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Possess working knowledge of IATF16949, ISO 14001, and Q1 compliance criteria.
