Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building, presses, and equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Operate forklifts and man lifts to transport materials and equipment as needed.
  • Collaborate with the assembly and press departments to achieve team goals and objectives.
  • Participate in press set-ups, teamwork, and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce set-up time and improve overall productivity.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tag out and electrical safe work practices, to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks, corrective actions, and improvements to assigned equipment to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
  • Follow all maintenance systems and proper documentation procedures as outlined in work instructions, including preventive maintenance procedures, downtime recording procedures, and work order procedures.
  • Assist in the capacity of wastewater handler, as required, and complete training as necessary.
  • Perform other duties as required by the Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Launch Reliability Manager, and Maintenance Supervisor.
  • May receive direction from General Production Supervisor, Production Supervisors, and Team Leaders.
  • Adapt and promote lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Participate in the Elimination of Waste Team meetings to identify and address areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of stamping presses, conveyors, CNCs, washers, assembly machines, various automation, and related machinery.
  • Knowledge of pneumatics, lubrication, and hydraulics circuits.
  • Knowledge of basic electrical circuits and diagrams.
  • Knowledge of mig and or arc welding and use of cutting torches.
  • Ability to read and interpret hydraulic, pneumatic, and lubrication schematics.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Possess working knowledge of IATF16949, ISO 14001, and Q1 compliance criteria.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Excellent manual dexterity with the ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds frequently.
  • Work may require extended periods of sitting, standing, lifting, bending, stooping, and performing repetitive motion tasks.
  • Occasionally ascend/descend a ladder to service lights and ceiling fans.
  • Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with continuous exposure to noise.
  • Must be able to work necessary overtime if required.
