Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, the Registered Nurse coordinates comprehensive care plans for assigned patients. This role includes engaging in performance improvement initiatives and adhering to regulatory standards. Key responsibilities encompass maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations, managing resources effectively, and fostering teamwork among healthcare professionals to enhance patient satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Assessment and Documentation - Conducts thorough assessments and documents care in accordance with established nursing protocols. Plans and coordinates nursing interventions tailored to individual patient needs. Advocacy for Patient Rights - Upholds and protects the rights of patients, ensuring dignity, respect, and confidentiality throughout their care. Commitment to Patient Safety - Actively participates in initiatives aimed at enhancing patient safety, including fall prevention and medication management. Patient and Family Education - Provides relevant education to patients and their families, following departmental guidelines and best practices.

Qualifications

Required Education:

Graduate of an accredited nursing program is mandatory. A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.

Licensure/Certification:

A valid RN License in the state is required.

Experience:

Experience in Med/Surg settings is preferred but not mandatory. A minimum of one year of experience is preferred in specialized areas such as CCU, ER, Float Pool, Maternity/Nursery, OR Wound Care.
