Job Title: Business Analyst - Transportation Services

Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) is seeking a talented Business Analyst to own analytics and develop solutions to drive insights and optimization for the Carrier Services team.

As a member of this team, you will have an opportunity to be a thought leader in Amazon Logistics and work with a group of talented program managers, product managers, research scientists, software developers, and business leaders to design the Amazon network of the future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform complex data analysis by applying statistics, analytical, and business skills to identify opportunities to reduce fulfillment costs and improve efficiencies and customer experience.
  • Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to identify process and system improvement opportunities to drive key business decisions.
  • Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation. Learn and understand a broad range of Amazon's data resources and know how, when, and which to use and which not to use.
  • Dive deep into various optimization systems, operational processes, and delivery partner/operator experience, and identify insights that influence the direction of product.
  • Partner with Operations, Product, Program, and Finance stakeholders, gathering requirements and delivering end-to-end solutions.
  • Communicate complex analysis and insights to stakeholders and business leaders, both verbally and in writing.
  • Support cross-functional teams on the day-to-day execution of the existing program implementation.
  • Identify, develop, manage, and execute analyses to uncover areas of opportunity and present written business recommendations.
  • Continually improve ongoing reporting and analysis processes, automating or simplifying self-service support for datasets and model data and metadata to support ad-hoc and pre-built reporting.
  • Drive small to medium operational enhancement projects and research and recommend cost reduction opportunities.
  • Lead regular business review with partner teams to monitor the progress of projects in the roadmap.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience.
  • 2+ years of business analyst, data analyst, or similar role experience.
  • 3+ years of business or financial analysis experience.
  • Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights.
  • Experience with Excel.
  • Experience with SQL.
  • Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

The base pay for this position ranges from $66,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $143,100/year in our highest geographic market.
