Job Title: Government Affairs Generalist

Shield HealthCare is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Government Affairs Generalist to provide administrative support to the Government Affairs Department at our Valencia, CA corporate office.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide research and analytical support to the Government Affairs team, including researching and responding to carrier claim inquires, reviews, and audits.
  • Follow up on requests for information and work with payers to gather and provide information.
  • Organize and maintain file systems and files records.
  • Answer and screen telephone calls, and coordinate meetings.
  • Maintain up-to-date customer information in computer systems.
  • Prepare outgoing mail, including emails and faxes.
Qualifications:
  • College degree preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Strong detail orientation and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
