Catapult is partnering with a prominent engineering firm in search of a Transportation Engineering Project Manager. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Civil Engineering and hold a valid Professional Engineer license, along with experience in NCDOT.

Work Arrangement

This position offers a hybrid work schedule, requiring in-office attendance on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, with the option for a 4/9 workweek including half days on Fridays.

About Our Team

The Transportation Team is made up of dedicated engineers, designers, and planners who are focused on providing high-quality, efficient services. Our expertise encompasses NEPA/SEPA planning, public engagement, roadway and structure design, traffic management, and utility coordination. We handle a wide range of projects, including interchange modifications, new road constructions, and pedestrian bridge designs, all while fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities

As a Project Manager in our Transportation Engineering team, you will:

  • Lead project teams through the collaborative delivery of engineering projects.
  • Oversee the entire project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgetary constraints.
  • Design and prepare detailed engineering plans using MicroStation.
  • Engage in discussions regarding intersection enhancements and advanced roadway designs.
  • Work closely with a team of professional engineers and planners to expand your project portfolio and enhance your leadership capabilities.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should have:

  • A Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
  • A valid Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in the Transportation Engineering sector.
  • Proficiency in MicroStation, Geopak, and Corridor Modeling.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following qualifications are advantageous:

  • Experience with Open Roads Designer (ORD).
  • Prior work experience with NCDOT.
Work Environment

The role is based in a professional office setting that is climate-controlled and designed for collaboration. You will be expected to operate standard office equipment and may need to provide on-site technical support at various project locations.
