Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CDL Class A Delivery Driver to join our team at Performance Food Group. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering food and food-related products to customers in a safe and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes to deliver food and food-related products to customers.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip safety checks on the tractor and trailer to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation regulations.
  • Communicate with customers, vendors, and co-workers in a professional manner to ensure accurate and timely delivery of products.
  • Perform damage control checks on products and complete necessary paperwork.
  • Unload products from the trailer and transport them to designated customer storage areas.
  • Verify delivery of products with customers and obtain proper signatures.
Requirements
  • 12 months commercial driving experience.
  • Valid CDL A.
  • Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years.
  • Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
  • Pass road test.
  • Valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ years commercial driving experience.
  • Previous Foodservice delivery (touch freight) experience.
  • Onboard computer and electronic log system experience (i.e. PeopleNet).
  • Hand-held point of delivery scanning system experience (i.e. POD).
