Environmental Science Internship Opportunity

At Parsons Corporation, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Science Intern to join our team. As an Environmental Science Intern, you will have the opportunity to expand your technical skills and knowledge in environmental science, working closely with our experienced team of infrastructure design experts.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of environmental documents for various types of projects.
  • Receive instructions on specific assignments from senior planning personnel.
  • Use computer software applications to complete tasks.
  • Research literature and websites to gather statistics and related data for environmental documents.
  • Conduct field work activities and studies as it relates to transportation projects and State and Federal environmental requirements.
  • Make observations, collect data, take photos, and maintain documentation.
  • Prepare mapping and exhibits for reports and presentations.
  • Organize data and prepare detailed spreadsheets.

Requirements:

  • Must be enrolled in a technical curriculum at an accredited college or university and studying Environmental Science or a related field.
  • Experience or interest in native and invasive species plant identification and/or restoration techniques is a plus.
  • Must be hard working, physically able to work in an environment, lift/carry up to 30lbs over short distances on uneven terrain.
  • Must be willing and able to work outside in variable weather conditions typical of California Spring or Summer.
