About the Role

Lumen, a leading provider of communication and technology services, is seeking a skilled Network Technician II to join our team. As a key member of our network operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our Next Generation 911 (NG911) network solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage new NG911 site activations and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner.
  • Correlate multiple trouble reports and communicate effectively with customers and internal teams.
  • Initiate internal escalations as necessary and provide proactive status updates to customers.
  • Monitor event alarms in multiple systems and perform basic diagnostics to resolve issues.
  • Track major service outages and advise internal teams of occurrences and progress towards resolution.
Requirements
  • 2-4 years of experience in a technician role, preferably in network routing and switching.
  • 1+ years of experience with network equipment and software.
  • CCENT, Network+, or equivalent level certification.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • ITIL Certification.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Telecommunication, Networking, or a related field.
