Job Summary

AdeIphi Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team in Mount Olive, NC. As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive physical assessments, developing tailored treatment plans, and implementing customized exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct Comprehensive Physical Assessments
    • Review medical histories and collaborate with healthcare colleagues to understand patient needs.
  • Develop Tailored Treatment Plans
    • Establish specific goals for rehabilitation or recovery.
  • Implement Customized Exercise Programs
    • Design and implement exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination.
  • Provide Hands-On Techniques
    • Use joint mobilization, soft tissue manipulation, and manual stretching to enhance mobility and relieve pain.
  • Apply Modalities
    • Use ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat, and cold therapy to ease pain, reduce inflammation, and aid tissue healing.
  • Provide Guidance on Assistive Devices
    • Teach patients and families on the use of assistive devices, such as crutches, canes, walkers, and wheelchairs.
  • Educate Patients and Families
    • Provide education on conditions, treatment plans, and injury prevention related to body mechanics and ergonomics.
  • Develop Pain Management Strategies
    • Implement therapeutic exercises, modalities, and manual techniques for pain reduction.
  • Assist Patients in Regaining Independence
    • Help patients regain independence after surgery, injury, or illness to enhance their quality of life.
  • Continuously Assess and Document Patient Progress
    • Monitor patient progress toward rehabilitation goals and adapt treatment plans as needed.
  • Communicate Effectively with Healthcare Team Members
    • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and OTs to optimize patient care.
  • Provide Personalized Home Exercise Programs
    • Develop home exercise programs to support ongoing recovery.
  • Keep Accurate Patient Records
    • Document assessments, treatments, progress notes, and changes in the patient's condition.
  • Follow Ethical and Legal Standards
    • Respect patient confidentiality and obtain informed consent.
  • Demonstrate Cultural Sensitivity
    • Meet the diverse backgrounds and needs of patients.
