Machine Builder Opportunity at Xylem

Xylem is a leading water technology company with a global presence, and we're seeking a skilled Machine Builder to join our Holland, MI team. This role involves the final assembly of our products, utilizing a variety of products made in the facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble mechanical or electrical components using sensitive hand and equipment coordination
  • Follow assembly/test instructions, including color code, PVC solvent welding, and thread taping
  • Use simple hand or power tools along with uncomplicated jigs and fixtures
  • Enter work hours in ERP system (currently SAP)
  • Conduct daily housekeeping/5S audits to ensure continuous improvement activities
Requirements:
  • Minimum 6 months' relevant experience required
  • Mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic experience a plus
  • Ability to troubleshoot and rebuild filter presses highly preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints (if applicable)
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools
  • High school diploma or GED
