Job Title: IT Support Specialist

Job Summary:

Giraffe Media Group, LLC is seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to join our team in West Palm Beach, FL. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive technical support to our organization, ensuring the smooth operation of our computer systems, networks, and software applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware and software systems.
  • Monitor and maintain the organization's network infrastructure, including LAN management and firewall configurations.
  • Configure and deploy new hardware for end users, ensuring a seamless transition and setup.
  • Provide support to team members in utilizing existing technology platforms, deliver training on new platforms, and facilitate the acquisition of new functionalities.
  • Actively monitor office network security, access, availability, and resource consumption to safeguard organizational data.
  • Monitor activities within assigned IT areas to ensure compliance with internal policies, updating and communicating policy changes as necessary.
  • Collaborate with compliance, marketing, operations, and development teams to identify and mitigate privacy and data protection risks.
  • Execute system configurations as required, verifying expected outcomes post-implementation and conducting ongoing monitoring to ensure optimal performance.
  • Maintain oversight of digital assets, including email accounts, domains, cloud services, and tools, ensuring that they are current and appropriately managed.
  • Document significant changes and decisions, maintaining accurate records under the corresponding business entity.
  • Provide strategic recommendations for enhancing compliance-related processes and procedures specific to the IT department.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to facilitate the smooth onboarding and offboarding of team members, managing hardware inventory and access controls.
  • Develop and implement processes and best practices to address current, intermediate, and future organizational needs in collaboration with team leaders.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to internal users, ensuring their technical needs are met effectively and efficiently.
  • Maintain inventory, warranty, replacement, and assignment to collaborators. Plan and notify when new equipment is required, or equipment needs to be decommissioned.
  • Collaborate with organizational and team leaders to develop and implement processes and best practices that address current, intermediate, and future IT requirements.
  • Provide comprehensive recommendations for enhancing compliance-related processes and procedures within the IT and Operations departments, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
  • VoIP Support: Proven experience in supporting VoIP telephone systems, desktop hardware, and multifunction devices (copiers/printers).
  • Cybersecurity Fundamentals: Working knowledge of basic cybersecurity principles to safeguard organizational data and systems.
  • Operating Systems and Applications: Proficient in various operating systems, including Windows 10, Windows 11, and Linux, as well as familiarity with essential software applications.
  • Network Security: Experience with firewall configurations and network security protocols to maintain secure IT environments.
  • Microsoft 365 Administration: Competent in managing Microsoft 365 environments to optimize productivity and collaboration tools.
  • Google Workspace Administration: Experience in administering Google Workspace to enhance organizational efficiency and communication.
  • Office and Web Applications: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and various web-based applications to support daily operations.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills with a focus on delivering effective solutions.
  • Collaboration and Credibility: Demonstrated success in working collaboratively with management and colleagues, establishing credibility and fostering professional relationships.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical staff effectively.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Strong problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail in addressing issues.
  • Documentation Skills: Proficient in maintaining clear and comprehensive documentation of processes and technical issues.

Education and Training:

IT Support Specialist typically needs a bachelor's degree in computer information systems with 3+ years' experience within an IT or Operational IT focused role.
