Job Summary:
The Harborview Hotel is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Busser to join our hospitality team. As a Busser, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting our serving staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Welcome guests, show them to their tables, and provide menus. Assist customers with queries, requests, and redirect as necessary.
- Table Management: Clear, clean, and reset tables between seatings. Ensure that tables are set and ready for guests.
- Supporting Service Staff: Serve food and refill beverages as requested. Assist with the cleaning and processing of dirty dishes and silverware.
- Reporting and Maintenance: Report any damages, shortages, and complaints to the manager. Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Physical Demands: Lift and carry bags and cases of food and ingredients, stacks of soiled plates, silverware, and glassware, and bags of trash and food refuse.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
- Customer Service Skills: Excellent customer service skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical Abilities: Ability to stand, carry, reach, stoop, walk, lift, and climb (ladder).
