About the Role

Clean Harbors is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Services Technician to join our team. As a Retail Technician, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive environmental services to our customers, including collection and disposal of damaged, discarded, or recalled products, recycling of light bulbs, oil, oil filters, engine fluids, and other materials, and on-site cleanup activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Health and Safety: Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner.
  • Customer Service: Interact with customers at each stop, providing excellent customer service and ensuring their needs are met.
  • Material Handling: Load, pack, and segregate materials and waste products, ensuring they are properly prepared for transportation.
  • Driving: Safely operate a Box Truck, visiting retail customer sites and transporting materials and waste products.
  • Documentation: Prepare DOT shipping documents and ensure all projects are completed according to site-specific regulations and health and safety plans.
Requirements
  • Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid driver's license and be eligible to obtain a CDL Class B with hazmat and tanker endorsement within 6 months of hire.
  • Customer Service Skills: Demonstrate strong customer service skills and the ability to work effectively with customers.
  • Technical Skills: Possess the ability to use a laptop, handheld, printer, and iPhone, and be proficient in completing tasks using these tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Commercial Driving Experience: Possess previous commercial driving experience, preferably with a CDL Class A or B.
  • Route Experience: Have previous route experience, including loading, packing, and segregating materials and waste products.
  • Manual Labor Experience: Possess previous manual labor experience, including physical functions required for the job.
