Job Title: LPN - Radnor

Penn Medicine is a leading academic medical center dedicated to providing the highest level of care to patients. As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in our Radnor Shared Services department, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to our mission of advancing medical knowledge and education.

Job Summary:

  • Assist physicians and healthcare professionals in providing patient care and services in hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare facilities.
  • Monitor and chart patients, collect samples, and perform other tasks as assigned, under the direction of registered nurses and doctors.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer prescribed medications, give injections and vaccines, and read PPD results.
  • Perform electrocardiograms (EKG) and screening tests, and obtain and test specimens following standard operating procedures.
  • Document results, take appropriate action with unexpected results, and prepare specimens for transport as necessary.
  • Assist providers with surgical procedures, including positioning patients, maintaining a sterile field, and wound cleaning and dressing.
  • Prepare paperwork to complete patient visits and obtain and document patient vital signs as needed.
  • Clean, disinfect, sterilize, and check equipment to ensure proper working order.
  • Maintain medication storage closets and participate in orienting new team members.

Credentials:

  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification required.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.

Education or Equivalent Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Practice Nursing School diploma required.
  • 1+ years of outpatient experience preferred.
