About the RoleWe're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Heavy Duty Truck and Trailer SVC Tech to repair and maintain diesel and gasoline powered class 5 through 8 Heavy trucks, as well as various types of trailers. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical issues, ensuring our customers' vehicles are safe and reliable on the road.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with Heavy Duty trucks and trailers, including electrical, electronics, and emissions-related fault codes.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as lubricating moving parts and inspecting vehicles for damage or wear.
- Work closely with our service manager and other technicians to ensure seamless communication and efficient workflow.
- Meet federal criteria for federal inspections and brake inspection and adjustment, or obtain certification through OEM training.
- Install new parts, such as cross members, panels, posts, rails, door equipment, flooring, lights, wiring, brakes, valves, airlines, wheel end components, suspension components, landing gear, frame assembly, roof, roof bows, and other parts.
- Accurately complete DOT forms and other documentation in a timely manner.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year of experience in the industry or related management position.
- Valid Class C Driver's License or ability to receive within first 6 months of employment.
- Federal Annual and Brake Inspector certification.
- Commercial TIA certification required after six months of employment.
- DOT Medical Certification.
- Medium/Heavy Truck ASE certifications preferred.
