We are seeking a compassionate and experienced caregiver to provide quality care in the 1604 O'Connor area. The caregiver will be responsible for supporting daily activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of the individual in their care.
Key Responsibilities:- Obtain vital signs, record them, and notify the office of deviations according to standard practice.
- Provide personal hygiene services, including bathing, grooming, dressing, hair care, shaving, deodorant application, skin care with lotions and/or powder, foot care, and ear care.
- Change bed linens and make the bed.
- Eat and maintain adequate nutrition and fluid intake when appropriate.
- Ambulate and transfer patients, assisting with elimination needs, assisting patients in and out of bed, assisting with ambulation, and assisting with other transfers and positional needs as appropriate.
- Perform incidental household services, including light housekeeping, straightening room, and laundry.
- Remind patients to take medication.
- Follow the Plan of Care (Instruction Sheet) as instructed by the Agency's health care professional.
- Document appropriately according to the Plan of Care and submit all documentation per agency policy.
- Observe physical and gross behavioral changes in the patient's condition or family situation and report to the office.
- Follow the visit schedule and indicate changes in the schedule as appropriate.
- Promptly contact patients and the office whenever unable to visit a patient as scheduled and will give a full report concerning patient care, visit times, etc.
- Communicate appropriately with patient/family and Agency personnel.
- Attend required in-services and meetings as identified by the Agency.
- Adhere to the Agency's Policies and Procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
