About the Role
Dignity Health Medical Foundation is a leading healthcare provider in California, dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care and services. As a Bone Densitometrist, you will play a vital role in our team, working closely with our specialty-trained and board-certified radiologists to provide exceptional care to our patients.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient care services that support the physician's practice under the clinical supervision of the Radiologist Technologist or other licensed staff.
- Assist in prepping patients for examinations, x-rays, and procedures.
- Relay instructions from the physician to a patient or authorized person.
- Collect patient data and document patient concerns, patient messages, and care provided to the patient in the patient's medical record.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Satisfactory completion of a formal X-Ray Bone Densitometry or limited X-Ray technology program in an approved school or training facility.
- CPR and CRT Limited Permit DEXA/Bone Densitometry or Dual Energy X-Ray Absorptiometry.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy and physiology for imaging, proper operation of, and care of Bone Density equipment and radiation safety.
Preferred Qualifications
- One (1) year experience in an outpatient setting.
- Six (6) months experience in Bone Density environment.
- Familiarity with an electronic practice management system.
