Cafeteria Manager Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cafeteria Manager to join our team at Voorhees Township School District. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our cafeteria, ensuring the provision of nutritious and appealing meals to our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and participate in the preparation and serving of food.
  • Oversee the storage and care of foods and supplies.
  • Ensure menus are followed and implemented effectively.
  • Lead the cleaning and maintenance of kitchen, serving, storage, and dining areas.
  • Monitor and maintain equipment in safe working condition.
  • Manage records of food and supplies received and used.
  • Evaluate the performance of cafeteria employees.
  • Secure revenue from the cafeteria until it is deposited into the bank.
  • Train new cafeteria employees in their assigned tasks.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of three years of experience as an assistant cook in a comparable district or in a restaurant, hotel, or similar food service setting.
  • Alternative qualifications may be considered by the board.
Working Conditions:

This is a ten-month position with a salary according to the current schedule. Performance will be evaluated in accordance with state and board regulations/policies by the director of food services.
