Job Description

Boeing is seeking a skilled Mid-Level Software Engineer to join our team in Hazelwood, Missouri. As a member of our Training Systems - Battlespace Simulation Management team, you will play a critical role in supporting the Boeing Global Services (BGS) business organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain software systems, including architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs.
  • Develop and maintain code, integrating software components into fully functional software systems.
  • Develop software verification plans, test procedures, and test environments, executing test procedures and documenting test results.
  • Perform software project management and supplier management functions.
  • Develop, select, tailor, and deploy software processes, tools, and metrics.
  • Execute and document software research and development projects.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes, and regulations.
  • Track and evaluate software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and industry standards.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or other technical degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development.
  • 5+ years of experience with programming C/C++.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with UX/UI designing using tools such as Qt.
  • Experience with object-oriented software architecture/design patterns.
  • Experience with Automated Software Testing.
  • Experience with agile methodologies such as scrum or SAFe.
  • Experience with tools such as VersionOne, Jenkins, Git, ReviewBoard, CMake, Visual Studio.
  • Experience with simulation standards such as Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS), Distributed Mission Operations (DMO), High Level Architecture (HLA), and Common Simulation Framework (CSF).
  • Experience with aircraft platforms, aviation, simulation, and training systems is beneficial.
