Job Overview

Komatsu America is seeking a highly skilled Senior Robotics Software Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in robotics software development and experience working with sensors such as Lidars, Cameras, and Radars.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop machine automation & autonomy software including perception, mapping, and path planning using geometric based, machine learning, and fusion techniques.
  • Lead design, prototype, test, deploy, and productionize automation & autonomy software.
  • Coach entry to mid-level engineers in robotics software development.
  • Complete all aspects of software development including requirement review, effort estimation, design, reviews, programming, functional testing, and release.

Requirements:
  • BS or MS in Robotics, Computer Vision, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering degree.
  • 8+ years' industry experience in Robotics or Autonomous vehicle domain including Perception, Path Planning, and Positioning.
  • Extensive experience in robotics software development.
  • Hands-on programming experience in C++.
  • Experience working with sensors such as Lidars, Cameras, and Radars.
  • Experience working in Linux environment.
