  • Assessment and Care Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' medical and psychiatric needs, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient responses to treatment.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Direct and supervise the delivery of care by other nursing team members, participate in regularly scheduled team conferences, and collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Communication and Education: Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare providers, provide education and support to patients and families, and facilitate discharge planning.
  • Medication Administration and Safety: Administer medications and other therapeutic interventions as ordered by physicians, ensure patient safety, and respond to emergency situations.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with developments in the field of nursing through ongoing education, training, and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited nursing school or Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited nursing school with three years of nursing experience.
  • Experience: One year of nursing experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certifications: Current State of Texas Registered Nurse license and CPR certification.

Working Conditions:

This role requires the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects. Employees must permanently reside and work in the State of Texas.
